Say Goodbye to False Lashes
Ok people, I just got wind that there's a new mascara coming out by MAC, called Extended Play Lash mascara. It will be available in the U.S. May 24th and internationally in June! The new formula is supposed to wear for 16 hours, lengthen and define to the sky, and curl and lift even downward facing lashes. I'm really excited for this debut. My fave mascara right now is Tarte's Lights, Cameras, Lashes mascara, let's see if MAC will take its place. And guess what? The mascara is only $15...that's fairly inexpensive considering its MAC!! If you purchase it this week, please let me know how you like it!!

Breaking News For Urban Decay Enthusiasts
ATTENTION ALL MAKEUP-JUNKIES: Urban Decay has reformulated all of their eyeshadow shades, old and new. As if their eyeshadow wasn't as perfect enough, they went to infinity and beyond with 68 total shades!! They have 5 finishes total: satin, matte, duo-tone, shimmer, and sparkle. They re-formulated the shades to make them more pigmented (how is that even possible??), more blendable, and more lasting power! Urban Decay claims that this is the BEST eyeshadow in the industry. These eyeshadows also have new packaging. The tins are more sleek...and guess what...they pop out!! Making de-potting a breeze! They've also created "build your own" palettes so you can make your own customized palettes. Each palette comes with a brush and a beige highlight color called "walk of shame". Each eyeshadow is $18.

Evelyn Lozada's "New" Cosmetic Line
I say "new" because there's nothing new about it at all. I'm not sure if Ev did her research, but you would think she'd do something different from brands like Coastal Scents, BH Cosmetics, and Crown Brush to name a few. Only thing different from her eyeshadow palettes and the brands I just mentioned is the label on the packaging and a heftier price tag. Makeup enthusiasts like myself will see right through this scam. Unfortunately Evelyn fans who don't know better might purchase these items thinking they are getting a good deal. All I ask is you do your research. I have purchased most of these eyeshadow palettes Evelyn is now selling for a fraction of the price from other brands! The name of her brand is "e by evelyn lozada". Evelyn is selling a "designer faux reptile clutch case" that holds up to 15 brushes for $24.95 (brushes not included)...I have the exact reptile skin case WITH BRUSHES INCLUDED from Crown Brush for probably $15. Her prices are a joke!
At least Jennifer is involved with her "Lucid" lipgloss line. Ev just put together this bogus crap to make a nickel. Unless you are a fan of being ripped off, I suggest you steer clear of "e by evelyn loazada"

Revlon Cosmetics Review
CVS has a 50-75% off sale on cosmetics about twice a year I think...and I was lucky enough to pick up a ton of makeup for very inexpensive. I bought stuff from various brands like, Wet n Wild, Covergirl, Rimmel, Maybelline, and Revlon. But the three things that I find myself using almost daily are from Revlon. I picked up Revlon Custom Creations foundation in Deep 060, Revlon Colorstay Mineral Finishing Powder in Sunkiss 030, and Revlon Colorstay Mineral Finishing Powder in Brighten 010. The foundation was 75% off and I got it for around $3 or $4, and both the Colorstays were 75% off at about $3 or $4 as well.
The Custom Creations foundation is a bottle separated into two compartments, one holding a lighter foundation, and the other holding a darker. There's a dial that you can adjust to customize your own perfect shade. There's five adjustments, 1 being the lightest while 5 is the darkest. I'm at a 3. I like this foundation for one because its perfect for spring-summer-fall transitions. I can customize my foundation for when I'm at the lightest to when I'm the darkest during the summer. It's about medium coverage, applies flawlessly, and would work for oily or dry skin. One con is that there's a possibility that this has broken me out. I've changed so many things in my makeup and skin regimen that I'm not sure what it is actually. All and all it was definitely worth trying out.
The Colorstay in Deep I use as a powder to set my foundation and its a perfect finish to my makeup, leaving my face looking sunkissed with a hint of shimmer. This would work well with lighter complexions as a beautiful bronzer or as a contour. I use the Colorstay in Brighten as a highlighter. This is gorgeous on top of my blush or bronzer, leaving my face glowy. This would flatter any skin tone.

MY MAY FAVORITES

Going to try something different on my blog this time, and add my favorite things of the month of May. So the things I’ve been loving and using almost daily is my L’oreal youth code. I’m getting older, so I’m trying to be preventative. I use the under eye cream every night and then I use the day/night cream all over my face. And in the morning I use the day/night cream and then I add the daily moisturizer after that. I also love my Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System…and I use it every night to cleanse my face. If you are interested in the Clarisonic, I suggest you purchase this one for $30, instead of $150 for Clarisonic. My favorite lotions for May have been Suave’s Wild Cherry Blossom and Victoria Secret’s Pure Seduction. My favorite perfume last month was Kim Kardashian’s fragrance. I’ve been using my Physician’s Formula Happy Booster Blush in Rose almost daily, as well as my NYC bronzer powder in terracotta tan. I love my Maybelline Fit Me foundation in color 355. Another favorite is my BH Cosmetics 120 eye shadow palette. I can create endless looks with this palette. I’m absolutely obsessed with my L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara. Last but not least for makeup faves is my Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in Firecracker.
My fave item of jewelry is my gold watch from Target (looks just like the new Michael Kor’s watches) for only $9! My fave song that I’ve had on repeat in my car is “Beautiful People” by Chris Brown. And the month of May has had me fiending over HOTSAUCE! I’ve been putting it on EVERYTHING lol. Well that’s my list of faves for May. Any questions about some of the items I listed above please let me know :)

BH COSMETICS REVIEW

So I recently purchased some makeup and such from BH Cosmetics. The shipping was a bit of a nightmare due to that horrible ice storm we had, but the product is wonderful. I purchased the 28 neutral color palette, 120 color palette 1st edition, eye and lip primer, foundation primer, 10 color camouflage and concealer palette, 10pcs deluxe makeup brush set in red, 66 color lip palette, and 10pc professional blush palette. It may seem excessive, but it's definitely an investment.
I have not used all the brushes yet, but I love the ones I've used so far, I love the concealer, I even use it as a foundation sometimes, and it has really good coverage. I haven't used the eye and lip primer yet on my eyes because I'm finishing up the last bit I have of my primer potion, but I did use lip primer on my sister, and boy did her lips look ashy haha...lookin like a crack head. So I'll have to try that again on my lips and see how it goes. The foundation primer is nice, it feels greasy when you put it on but its not!! Well maybe if you have oily skin it might not work so well for you. The colors of the eyeshadows are very pigmented, as well as the blush. I'm not too big of a fan of the lip color...not as pigmented as I would like it to be.
28 NEUTRAL PALETTE AND 66 LIP COLOR:

SIMPLE LOOK I DID USING MOST OF THESE PRODUCTS:

All of these items are fairly affordable, so try it out if you wish.

HUGE E.L.F. MAKEUP ORDER

Ok peeps...I'm not the biggest fan of e.l.f. I have a couple of brushes that I do not like because they shed like crazy. They do have cheap prices. Most all of there products range from $1-$6 or so...But I'm subscribed to alot of fashion/makeup gurus on youtube and almost all of them use e.l.f. and say that there products have really improved and that they are impressed. So I decided to give it another chance and check it out online.
So I get to the home page and they are having a 50% off sale on lip products...SCORE!!! SALE ends Monday. And also I noticed they have free shipping on orders over $25 (unfortunately you can not combine coupons). I ordered a ton of stuff:
Luscious liquid lipstick in: maple sugar, brownie points, cherry tart @ $1 apiece
Hypershine lipgloss in: berry cherry, sugar plum, joy, vixen @ $1 apiece
Mineral lipstick in: rustic brick, barely bitten, rosy raisin @ $5 apiece
Moisturizing lipliner in: bitter, spice, bark, mauve luxe @ $1 apiece
Cheap huh? Then you get 50% of all this stuff!!
I also go some lashes that were $1 apiece (I've never worn lashes, so I figure this would be a good time to try since they were only a buck. And I got a fan brush and a crease brush (gonna give the brushes another chance..dont let me down e.l.f)
