Drake Announces Extended 'Club Paradise' Tour Dates

Drake went on tour earlier this year, I was unable to attend. I found out that J.Cole was in concert in NYC while I'm up there vacationing next month, only to later find out he's performing in Rhode Island. Right when I thought the hip hop gods were out to get me, I get wind that Drake and J.Cole will be touring together alongside Waka Flocka, Meek Mill, French Montana, and 2 CHAINZ!!! Yes that's right! Where to start!!! 1st off this is a R&B album and if I am going to listen to that I would prefer a better singer so I will just stick with Usher I suppose. This entire album is clearly for females. Ross steals the show on "Lord Knows", "Headlines" is aye ok, & I'm not sure if I was listening to Drake or Wayne on "Look What You've Done" as it seems Drake completely stole his flow, & oh yeah almost forgot, but the Wayne feature was about as half ass as it gets which is crazy considering you are the boss & this man is suppose to make you money (sorry ladies). The only solid performance was by 3000 on "The Real Her" which makes one wish that he would have just had Andre do the entire album. I will be fair & admit that he does have lyrical abilities, but he needs to pick a lane. If you want to be a singer that's great, but don't proclaim yourself as a legend as a rapper especially when you're only on your sophomore album. Joe Budden makes great emo rap records although he is suspect in his personal twitter life lol (that's a whole other review). Just saying, you may want to take a page out of his book as a rapper. I can't argue your aim at securing the female audience as that has always been your bosses move for financial purposes as well (& we all know those teenage chicks buy CD's), however I need you to decide who you are as an artist as its very noticeable that even these females have you confused compared to what I believe you want to be remembered as, which is a RAPPER. SIDE NOTE: I hope your pull out move is better then Wayne's because when he gets in apparently he goes dumb as exampled by 20 kids from 20 different women (jp kinda lmao). With that said, pass your cash on this trash & just DL the Ross & 3000 features (hope Baby didn't bet a milli on this like he's known to do, but I'm sure that's the # he'll buy ;) right Mr. Carter)!!!

I’m super excited to go to Best Buy to pick up Drake’s new album “Take Care”. I heard so many mixed reviews on it since it leaked before its release date. I heard everything from “it’s a masterpiece”, “best album of the year”, “worst thing I’ve ever heard”, “its emo and suicidal” and everything else in between. So with my open mind and open ears I pop the cd in my car. First song plays, and I’m like ok cool, a slow song. Then the second song was slow, so now I’m slightly confused. As I continue to listen to the album I realize this is damn near an R&B album. And honestly by the end I was feeling fairly underwhelmed. However it’s not because the album is bad…but mainly because I fully expected a rap album. Drake is SANGGGIIINNNGGGG! Now that I’m fully prepared, I give it a second listen. I really like it a lot! Drake does super well painting a vivid picture. I feel like he’s going on an adventure and I’m right there next to him through it all (or maybe that was just my dream).

I can see why several men say they don’t like this album because Drake is too sensitive. This is probably going to be a fave for the ladies. He’s quite emotional as we already know. And he refers to Aaliyah several times over the course of the album, making me wonder if he believes he’s is actually Aaliyah reincarnated. LOL. Just kidding! Ironically enough, or possibly intentionally, the album has many tracks reminiscent to the Aaliyah era, making this album a classic in my opinion. My favorite two tracks on the album would have to be “Lord Knows” featuring Rick Ross. YOLO!! This song epitomizes the type of album I was first anticipating. And the second is “Cameras” because I pretty sure this song is to me. He’s just letting me know that I know you see all my side chicks and what not, but this is only for the cameras, because at the end of the day I’m coming for you. Pretty sick I concocted an entire delusion in my head huh? Sidenote: I was certain Lil Wayne was rapping in that song! Anyways at the end of the day, the album is great. It’s not the best album of the year however. I still think J.Cole’s is. But it has a little bit of everything for everybody. And even has a radio hit in “Take Care” featuring Rihanna. I suggest you go cop this album. You need this in your collection.

Ludacris vs Drake and Big Sean Beef?

It's goin down. BASEMENT! Don't let the suit and clean cut fool ya. Ludacris vs. Drake and Big Sean beef has been stirred up after interviews from Drake and Big Sean. They both stated that Big Sean invented the one word rhyme style. We all know I'm Team Drake all day. But it seems as if both of them are delusional! Drizzy and Big Sean have both even said (in round-about ways) that Luda stole the style from Big Sean...and that he's wack at it. Referring to his "It's a parade! Macy's!" line. Tsk Tsk. These kids...I tell ya. Big Sean in no way, form, or fashion invented this style, if he believes so he needs to do his research. Has he never heard of Big Daddy Kane? SMH! Let's not go there "BOY", the list goes on and on of pioneers and recent rappers who have killed this flow before anyone knew of Big Sean!

“Well, that flow has been killed by so many rappers. And, I never want to use that flow again in life. [Laughs] I wanted to take if off my album, because I was like, ‘I shut ‘em down. Onyx.’ I hate the fact that that rhyme is still in there. To be honest, that flow, you can trace it back to like…I trace it back to Big Sean (artist on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music). That’s the first guy I heard utilize that flow throughout the duration of a verse. I’ll give him that credit. I think Kanye got it from him. Me and Wayne found a dope way to do it. I don’t want to sound cocky, but the best way its been used was on “Forever.” Those lines just all individually make so much sense. They’re all punchlines. Then a bunch of rappers started doing it and using the most terrible references in the world. I don’t want to offend somebody…I hate that rappers picked that flow up. I wish they had left that for people that know how to use it. [They go like] “It’s a parade! MACY’S!”

“With the super duper flow, I created that one word rhyme style,” Big Sean said in an interview. “Drake really made it more popular, but Drake gave me the credit and was like, ‘I really got that from Big Sean.’ I think some artists just did it so wack man. Every time I say names I get in trouble and it’s like I’m dissing, but some people used it wack. Don’t get it wrong I’m not trying to dis Ludacris or nothing. He’s a great MC. But even though that style got so overused, there was a lot of people who did it great and there was a lot of people who didn’t do it so great. People always ask me was you mad that people took that style from you. I’m like, ‘Nah, that went and shows me how far I can go as an artist.’ I feel like I changed hip-hop. I haven’t even dropped an album yet. So that goes to show me how powerful my mind is.”

And another thing...Big Sean don't want none from Luda. We all know Luda is a helluva MC. And I love you Drake...more than anybody! But just shhh! Don't say anything else about this haha.

Behind the Scenes With Stunnafizz: A3C Recap Day 2

It’s day 2, October 8, 2011. Vee aka Fizz and I wake up, get dressed, and head to lunch. Dingbat comes along with us. Don’t know who Dingbat is? See here: So we drag ourselves into O’Charley’s (literally dragged). I’m in there with my stunna shades on in full effect! We all talk and reminisce about old times. College life in particular. We discuss our exes and old flings. It was very amusing learning stories about Vee that I didn’t know and was shocked to find out. It was even more amusing to get the dirt and truth about things that went on at Chattanooga State (Dingbat and my college). We eventually roll out and do a little bit of shopping. We head back to Dingbat’s apartment and chill, relax, and re-group for the night ahead of us.

After we’ve fully rested, Vee aka Fizz and I head down to A3C, this time leaving Dingy behind. Because we all know what happened the day before. We jump in my whip and get crunk for the night’s festivities. As I’m being the navigator I record a little StunnaFizz Randomness. We finally make it to the venue…on time might I add. We walk over to the djbooth.net stage for the first set. As we are making our way through the crowd I run into an old “buddy ol pal”… Kinfolk Kiashine. We’re not really friends, just hung out once. I was going to speak but for some reason I felt all shy and awkward, so I just kept it moving.

The first set was M.O.P. Talk about dope! They had the crowd going bananas! And when they performed “Ante Up” I was waiting for the mosh pit.


Next on stage was Dead Prez. These guys really did their thing! And why did they perform that workout song? They had me feeling very guilty for “letting myself go”. As the song continued, I felt very motivated. I was trying to hit the gym later that night.


Lastly we headed inside, and waited for Big Daddy Kane. He really rocked the crowd. Unfortunately some coon next to me was belligerent and obnoxious, taking away from the performance a bit. There is nothing worst then male groupies. Hey my dude, if you are reading this…get your life together! Other than that, the night went smoothly and epically! We continued to network and had an overall great night. Day 2 alone made up for the entire trip. Can honestly say I haven’t had that much fun in a long time.


Next stop SXSW (God willing).

Wale Spotted on Ball State University's Campus

According to BSU students, rapper Wale, was spotted on the campus of Ball State University yesterday. It is reported that he was visiting a friend by the name of Tiara Thomas. She was featured on his song "The Cloud". Wale and his band was on campus, spotted in the atrium around 2pm. His tour bus was parked outside of the Letterman building. Wale walked into Tiara's classroom to get her out of class, he was accompanied by 4 other people, according to reports.

Dang, why couldn't this happen to me while I was in college.
